Student Vehicle Registration 2024-2025
**Parking Registration is all online and payment is made through RevTrak**
All students who plan to park on Kearney High School grounds are expected to pay a parking registration fee. Cost of the fee is $40.00/school year and is non-refundable. Payment and completed Vehicle Registration paperwork is required before tags are issued. Complete online form and payment through RevTrak. Tags can be picked up at Schedule Pick Up or Open House.
There are no longer numbered/designated spots. Juniors and Seniors will be able to choose to park in the Gold or White lot. Sophomores will be required to park in the Sophomore/New Tennis Court lot.
Any student with an obligation may not be permitted to pay the vehicle registration to park on the KHS campus and/or an obligation may invalidate a parking tag until the obligation is cleared. PARKING IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT! Any student may lose this privilege, without a refund, if he/she abuses school rules.
Students who paid the full year cost but graduate at the completion of 1st semester may turn in a formal written request for a $20 semester refund. This should be done in the office.
Tags serve as proof of vehicle registration and must be openly displayed in the vehicle’s front windshield. The tag is valid when displayed in the vehicle(s) to which it is registered. Students who are issued a registration tag are expected to maintain eligibility for parking on the KHS campus based on following school rules, regulations and expectations.
Although The Kearney School District will seek to maintain the safety of the vehicle and its contents, authorized students are responsible for their vehicles and /or vehicle contents while parked on district grounds. No three or four–wheeled off-the-road or ATV type vehicles are permitted on school grounds.
Students are expected to drive responsibly and to follow parking rules, including displaying a parking tag at all times. A student who parks in an unauthorized space/lot may lose his/her driving-parking privileges for a period of time, be assigned other disciplinary consequences and/or have his/her vehicle towed away at his/her expense. In addition, expected responsible behavior includes planning ahead to arrive at school early enough to be in class on time. The accumulation of tardies to school and/or truancy may result in suspension or revocations of parking privileges.
The registration tag is the property of Kearney High School. An additional fee will be assessed for any lost and/or damaged permit. All registration tags must be returned upon the student’s withdrawal from Kearney High School prior to the end of the regular school year. Students/Families may not give/sell the tag to other students. The vehicle registration fee/tag is valid for the 2024-2025 school year.
If a student loses a tag, the replacement fee may be full price.
